What you'll do

• Design and own core components of our streaming risk pipeline (Kafka, Flink, Rust)
• Collaborate with ML to productionise new detection models at sub-second latency
• Drive architecture decisions and mentor engineers across the team
• Improve reliability and observability of systems processing 2B+ events daily

What we're looking for

• 5+ years building distributed, high-throughput backend systems
• Experience with streaming data (Kafka, Kinesis, Flink, or similar)
• Strong opinions about reliability, latency, and operational simplicity
• Comfortable working across the full depth of a system — from infra to API

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, security, or fraud detection domains
• Prior work with ML infrastructure or feature engineering
• Rust or Go in production
